Reminders & notifications

Alerts on your phone, plus automatic customer reminders on Pro.

You shouldn’t have to keep due dates in your head while you’re up a ladder. Notifications make Speakpaid do the watching: your phone tells you before an invoice is late and when one goes overdue — and on Pro, the customer gets a polite reminder without you lifting a finger.

Alerts for you

These land on your phone. The first time Speakpaid asks, tap Allow (or turn notifications on in your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Speakpaid). Toggle each one any time in Speakpaid → Settings → Notifications.

  1. Due-soon heads-up — a gentle nudge when an invoice is due within the next couple of days, so you can give the customer a friendly reminder before it’s ever late.
  2. Overdue alerts — once an invoice passes its due date, a daily nudge (e.g. "2 invoices overdue — tap to chase"). Tap it to jump to Home → "Needs chasing". These stop the moment an invoice is paid.

Reminders for your customers Pro

On Pro you can switch on Remind on the due date (Settings → Notifications): if an invoice is still unpaid on its due date, Speakpaid emails the customer a polite reminder for you — with your pay link and bank details, so they can settle in a couple of taps. Replies go straight to your business email.

Sent automatically, at most once per invoice, on the due date — and only if it’s still unpaid. If they’ve already paid, nothing is sent.
No email on file? The automatic reminder only goes to customers who have an email address saved (add or edit it on the customer). If a customer has no email, no reminder is sent — but the invoice still appears in your Home → "Needs chasing" list, and your own due-soon and overdue alerts still fire, so you can follow up directly (a quick call or text).
