Record a payment or deposit

Log cash/bank payments yourself; take deposits.

Your "who owes me" numbers are only as honest as the payments you log. Recording cash and bank transfers the moment they arrive keeps Home telling the truth — you stop chasing people who’ve already paid (awkward) and stop forgetting the ones who haven’t (expensive). Deposits get first-class treatment too: part-payments show exactly what’s left.

  1. Open the invoice → Record payment.
  2. Enter the amount and method. Taking a deposit? Record part of it — the invoice shows "£X received of £Y" and the list shows "£X left".
  3. When the balance reaches zero it marks itself Paid. Tap Receipt any time to share a "paid, thanks" PDF.
The receipt matters more than it looks: a "paid, thank you" PDF closes the job on a professional note — and it’s the thing customers keep for their records, which is what gets you recommended.
